David S. Compo
Starting at the age of 12, David S. Compo began to refine his skills at architectural drawing. By 15, he was doing the majority of the working plans for his parents building company, James D. Compo, Inc., a family business where he worked for 33 years. Since then, David has been designing and building his own company, Compo Builders, Inc., which he co-owns with his brother, Christopher. As the sons of past BIA president Janet Compo, and her late husband, James, the Compo brothers are carrying on a long tradition of building quality one-of-a-kind custom homes as well as additions, finished lower levels and other residential and commercial remodeling projects. Throughout his long career, David has overseen the building of homes for over 400 southeast Michigan families in addition to hundreds more remodeling and indoor pool projects.
Donna has worked in the accounting department for Compo Builders, Inc for over 20 years. She oversees all the accounts payable/receivable and payroll. She is married with 2 kids and enjoys weekend family trips, occasional visits to the casino to play cards, bowling and trying out new recipes.
